General Rules


1. No leave for absence is granted without written application from the parent or guardian and that too only for serious reasons.

2. If a pupil is absent due to sickness, the principal must be informed at once in writing. When a pupil who has been absent for any reason and returns to school, he must bring the details duly entered on the leave record page of the diary and signed by the parent or guardian otherwise the pupil will be refused admission and sent home. In this case the school disclaims all responsibility.

3. For leave the school earlier than the last period, a written request of the parent is a must

4. Pupils not returning punctually to school after the holidays or breaks are liable to have their names struck off the rolls.

5. Any student who misses the first period of the first meeting will not be admitted to class unless he brings a written application from home.

6. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience or conducts injuries to the moral tone to the school are sufficient reasons for the dismissal of a pupil. Pupils are liable to be dismissed or removed from availing conveyance facility of school due to misbehaviours either in school bus or on streets.

7. Running, playing or shouting inside the school premises is not allowed.

8. All kinds of damage done in the school premises or property will have to be made good by the parents.

9. No student should throw papers etc. anywhere in the school premises. They should use the baskets and bins specially provided for the purpose.

10. Personal cleanliness and hygiene is expected from all.

11. During the absence of the teacher, the monitor assumes responsibility for the order and discipline of the class.

12. When students move along the corridors as when changing classes, they must walk in silence and in queue.

13. The names of the students, who misbehave in the school bus, will be struck off the bus list forthwith.

14. Any breach of discipline and above all discourtesy and disrespect to teachers in any way will be taken seriously and students responsible for such misbehaviour will be summarily dismissed.

15. No mobiles, books, news-papers, periodicals or comics or valuables be brought into the school premises without principal’s sanction.

16. No student is allowed to come to school without complete uniform. Violation of this will lead to mark of absent from school.

17. No student shall carry mobile phones to school. In case of doing so, the student may be strictly dealt with and mobile forfeited.

18. The school is not responsible for the safety of books, money, clothes etc. Students must look after their own things. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles to school.

19. For meeting the teachers must take prior permission from the Academic Director.

20. The engagement of private tutors from the school staff should not be done without the written permission of the principal.

21. During the recess students are not allowed to enter the classrooms without permission.

22. Students must take part in the school co-curricular activities, in dramatics, displays, excursions etc. regularly or occasionally.

23. To improve expression and fluency in English the school has made it compulsory for students to speak in English in the school and even outside, when they are in school uniform.

24. Parents are expected to co-operate with the staff in enforcing regularity and discipline by seeing that their children prepare their lessons and do their homework as mentioned in their diaries by taking an active and helpful interest in the activities of the school.

25. Parents are particularly requested to sign the Progress Report and other reports from teachers sent through the diaries. Students will not be allowed to be in class if their reports are not duly signed.

26. Parents/Guardians or other persons are not allowed to see the student or interview their teacher during school hours without written permission from the A.D.

27. The principal has authority to take any disciplinary action as he may deem necessary in case of violation of rules.

28. It is compulsory for the students to complete 75% of their attendance in a year to make themselves eligible for appearing for their final test. Total numbers of meetings are counted from the day of the opening of the school and not from the date of admission of the student. Leave on account of illness etc. is also considered as absence for this purpose and no relaxation is made in such cases.

29. No student can leave school premises during school hours except from the permission of the Academic Director.

30. All students should be careful about keeping their classrooms and the school premises clean and tidy.

31. Continuous absence for three days after the beginning of the new session shall lead to students name being struck off.
